The story begins with Dino and Jenny, both early thirties, on a sound side beach on Long Island, in the middle of the night and hidden in their shadows and silhouettes is that both are inexplicably nude. We find out immediately they are adopted siblings, having been apart for several years now, and an ongoing storyline is how they wound up in their present predicament. This story becomes a “wrap-around” piece, as we see the details of their mystery told in reverse order, revealing a little bit at a time how they came to be in their present predicament.

When Jenny probes Dino on why he never got married, it goads him to propose a wager, for her to listen to several stories of “that one who got away”, and see if she can guess the unrequited love of his life.
Dino’s stories then begin to unfold, but often in an unconventional manner. Each story becomes an adventure in itself, a hodge-podge of mistaken identities and hidden agendas, with twists and turns at every corner.

A number of cinematic elements serve as a visual catalyst, including extended long takes and real-time pieces, leading up to the final reveal as Dino comes clean about the love of his life, and the biggest surprise of all. It’s a romp, a farce, and an old-fashioned screwball comedy laced with a healthy dose of poignancy and genuine emotion.
